 | In 1953, Frank H. and Julia Guido Simpson opened the Frank H. Simpson Funeral Home. The residence, which was built circa 1911 by the Fields family, was then remodeled to accommodate two small viewing rooms.
In the mid 1960's the funeral home was renovated. A two-story expansion was added to the back of the building, which added a new chapel and arrangement office. The basement, which is the casket selection room, and the main chapel, were enlarged. |

In 1981 Robert J. Gaus, with his parents Robert C. and Catherine Wescott Gaus purchased the entire business from the Simpsons. In 1986 the corporate name was changed to Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, Inc. | |
 | The interior of our funeral home was again renovated and redecorated in 1991. In 2000 a state of the art merchandise center was installed to display a wide variety of metal, wood, specialty, cremation, and traditional caskets. There are also flowers, monuments, cremation products, keepsake and remembrance selections, burial clothing and burial vaults. A great deal of pride and caring has been put into this facility and more importantly into the quality of our staff. |
